Modernizing DataServ Notification Emails

I just received an email from sr mgt at my company, asking if there’s something we can do to make our DataServ notification emails feel a little more modern and fresh. There wasn’t a lot of direction, but I’m guessing they are meaning something that’s a little more visual (buttons, different fonts), more personalized, etc I wasn’t sure to what extent this was doable… What are your thoughts?
