2026.09 Release
- Cleaner Invoice Field Options. We’re simplifying the invoice experience by removing unused, uneditable header fields from More Fields in the Document Viewer and from the available search columns. If you have any fields configured specifically for your organization, they will remain available and we will notify you when the clean up is done for your organization. No action is needed from your team.
👀 Upcoming Product Sneak Peeks:
-
Foundational Upgrade: Intelligent Routing. We are excited to preview Intelligent Routing, a complete redesign of our non-PO initial routing matrix. This upgrade provides a more scalable and standardized framework for how documents are directed the moment they enter DataServ. This foundation is the critical prerequisite for our upcoming S.A.F.E. AI Intelligent Routing Advisor, which will leverage the DataServ Decision Engine to identify common manual assignment paths, recommend routing rules to your team for review and approval, and, once approved, significantly reduce manual routing effort. We are currently finalizing Intelligent Routing and are looking for early-access partners to provide feedback and help shape the final rollout.
- ✋ Interested in early access? Please reach out to your Client Success Account Manager (CSAM) or DataServ Support to discuss how your team can be among the first to upgrade.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your Client Success Account Manager (CSAM) and / or DataServ Support.

Workflow Continuity: In-App Notifications. On August 5th, we introduced a new in-app notification that alerts users whenever they are tagged in a comment within the discussion pane. The notification identifies who mentioned the user, provides a preview of the comment, and links directly to the relevant document. Users will now receive both an email and an in-app notification, ensuring they never miss an alert without needing to manually check specific documents or their inbox.

New Self-Serve AutoVouch Tuning & Analysis Dashboard. We started rolling out the new Tools for Tuning & Analyzing AutoVouch Dashboard, which provides actionable insights into AutoVouch performance, to eligible clients. By identifying the root causes of exceptions—such as vendor data discrepancies or tolerance misalignments—your team can target high-impact process improvements to drive higher automation rates and reduce manual touches. We are notifying clients when the Dashboard is available in their workspace and plan to complete our rollout in September.

🔔 Discussion mentions now appear in Notifications
We’re pleased to introduce in-app notifications for user mentions in the Document Viewer’s Discussion pane.
Building on the tagging feature released last summer in our 2025.08 release, users who are tagged will now see a notification under the bell icon in DataServ. The notification identifies who mentioned them, provides a preview of the comment, and links directly to the relevant document.
Existing email notifications will continue as they do today. Together, the in-app and email alerts help users notice and respond to requests sooner without repeatedly checking individual documents.
No action is required. For more information on this updated feature, please check out our help pages:
If you have any questions about the new release cadence or the upgraded Out of Office feature, please reach out to your Client Success Account Manager (CSAM) and / or DataServ Support.
2026.07 Release
- Clearer PDF Download File Names. Downloaded PDF invoices now use the invoice number as the file name when available, making it easier to identify and organize documents after export. If an invoice number is not available, the file name will fall back to the DIN and then the current default naming convention.
-
Invalid lookup values are prevented on save. Document Viewer updates now better guard against invalid values being saved in fields such as Route To and other lookup fields, reducing the chance of incorrect free-form entries being retained.
-
Blank PO Number saves no longer fail. Documents can now be saved successfully when a multi-valued PO Number is cleared, including values cleared through Vendor Name → Vendor Number → PO Number lookup cascades or by directly clearing a PO Number textbox. Existing validation still blocks saves when required by the Header PO Edit & Cascade setting.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your Client Success Account Manager (CSAM) and / or DataServ Support.

New Global Navigation Bar. We've introduced a redesigned global navigation bar across the DataServ platform. New In-app Notifications. DataServ now includes an in-app Notification Center, accessible via a new bell icon in the navigation bar. When important events occur, such as being assigned as a delegate for a colleague’s Out of Office, you'll receive a notification with the relevant details so you can stay informed without relying solely on email. Unread notifications are indicated by a badge count, and notifications are listed by recency so you can quickly catch up on what needs attention. We will be adding more notifications in the coming releases.

Run AutoVouch Immediately on a Specific Document. Users can now trigger AutoVouch on a single document directly from the AutoVouch Exception Form without waiting for the next scheduled batch run. After clicking "Retry Now," the process runs in the background and you can continue working. When it finishes, you'll receive an in-app notification with the results and a link back to the document and see the AutoVouch Run History. This makes resolving exceptions faster and gives your team more control over when AutoVouch runs.

✈️ Out of Office Upgrade
Users will be able to set an out-of-office Start Date, Return Date, and Delegate in their My Profile page, helping ensure documents continue to flow smoothly when team members are away and to resume automatically when they return.
Administrators will be able to view which team members are out of office, when they’ll return, and who their delegate is during that time via the Users List table in User Management.
Any users currently Out of Office should experience no disruption. We will retain their Delegate and assign default Start and Return Dates that they or their administrator can update at any time in My Profile.

Faster PO Updates for Single‑PO Invoices.
